Itinerary

Day 1

Explore The Coochie Tunnels and pay a visit to the landing zone

7:30 beeing meet at your hotel in the center of District 1.

Boarding the Viet Kolors company van with your tour guide for the Cu Chi Tunnels adventure.

Departing for Cu Chi Tunnels (Coochie Tunnels), a 60km journey from Ho Chi Minh City center. During an hour and half travel time, your tour guide will provide insights into the Vietnam War, detailing the battles in Cu Chi tunnels.

Enroute, we will be making a stop at a venue selling lacquer paintings. Learning about the making of lacquer paintings and souvenirs from individuals affected by Viet Nam war, gaining a unique perspective on the artistic expressions of the victims of war.

Arriving at Cu Chi Tunnels and gaining a brief historical overview, including the formation, uses, and structures of this extensive tunnels system through the documentaries.

Witness remnants of the anti-American war, exploring kitchens, bedrooms, weapon bunkers, and functional rooms that once served the needs of the tunnel residents.

Learning about wartime traps strategically hidden within the tunnels, adding complexity to this maze-like base, as well as paying a visit the command post and view the remaining cannons.

Exploring the underground guerrilla resistance base, with an optional walking tunnel experience (15m, 30m or 50m). Walk through the Cu Chi tunnel system, immersing yourself in the atmosphere of times gone by and discover the various rooms concealed within the tunnel system. Conclude the visit with special tea and cassava root, a wartime specialty and daily food of Cu Chi residents.

Special Activity: Embrace your inner American by testing your marksmanship skills with AK-47 shooting at the range (*optional activity, fee: 600,000 VND (~$25USD) for 10 bullets, payable by cash or card).

Arriving back to Ho Chi Minh City:

Upon returning to Ho Chi Minh, you may pay a visit to the landing zone where the last chopper taking off on the day Sai Gon fell. After concluding the tour, return to the Viet Kolors company van, and we will transport you back to the original pick-up point

Cancellation policy

Cancellation policy for deposited Tours:

If you cancel your booking, your deposit will not be refunded
If you are a “no-show” on the morning of the trip, for whatever reason, you will lose your deposit

Cancellation policy for full charged Tours:

Up to 24 hours before the start of the activity: full refund
Less than 24 hours before the start of the activity or in the event of a no-show: no refund
Flight delayed, food poisoning, getting sick unable to attend tour. Under those circumstances, we agree to reschedule your start date with an additional charge of 50% of the total tour cost
The refund is done using the same payment method. In the event of credit cards which are charged monthly, the amount shall be credited at the end of the current invoicing period. The exact time of the refund depends on the user’s credit card agreement. The refund by bank transfer shall be done within seven bank working days.
