8:00 AM:

• Meet and greet at your hotel in the center of District 1.
• Board the Viet Kolors company car with your tour guide for the journey to the western river region (My Tho – Ben Tre).

9:45 AM: 

• Upon arrival in My Tho city, get ready to hop on the “discovery train.” Just kidding, it’s a motorboat, but who wouldn’t want a discovery train, right? 
• Settle in for a 30-minute ride to soak in the panoramic view of the West. 
• Stop by a local fish pad to learn how they raise the underwater VIPs—fish and frogs. Feel like a local as you take over fish feeding duties and have a splashy good time. 

10:30 AM: 

As the motorboat arrives at the small island, an electric car awaits to transport you to the enchanting bee farm. There, immerse yourself in the delicate art of the honey harvesting process from the locals. You will have enough time to find a serene spot in the garden, where you can sip on freshly brewed honey tea flowers and enjoy the scenery.

Take a stroll around the area, discovering everyday items that hold deep familiarity with the locals, such as the traditional wood stoves, bicycles, and the traditional rice huller, aptly named fan carts— despite their lack of wheels, but equipped with blades inside that require manual turning. 

11:15 AM: 

Depart from the bee farm, your journey continues as you walk or cycle along the village road towardthe orchard’s vibrant scenery. There, you can try your hand at snail catching—a unique and memorable experience! 

There will be fresh fruit provided as you relax and enjoy the scenery of the garden.

12:00 PM:

Next, you can choose between either cycling or walking towards the mushroom farm. Here, you’ll learn about the process of mushroom cultivation conducted by the locals. Depending on the timing of your visit, the group may have the opportunity to partake in the actual harvesting of mushrooms. During this engaging experience, you’ll be allowed to pluck mushrooms directly from their source.

At this point, amidst the mushroom farm, you’ll also encounter a wooden house adorned with what is called “Chinese bricks”, showcasing the distinctive characteristics of the rural Southern people. It’s a picturesque and culturally rich sight that adds depth to your exploration of the region.

12:30 PM – 02:00 PM: 

Take a seat on the wooden dinghy, known as a sampan (or “three-piece” boat), gently navigating through a narrow canal adorned with the shade of nipa palm trees, also known as “water coconut trees” by the locals.

Following this tranquil ride, you’ll be welcomed into a local household for a traditional lunch. After indulging in the cuisine, take the opportunity to relax or engage in a conversation with your gracious hosts. This interaction offers a unique chance to gain deeper insights into the rural way of life, providing a more profound understanding of this community’s daily rhythms and traditions.

02:30 PM:

• Board the tour car for your return to Ho Chi Minh city. 
• On the way, we will stop at Vinh Trang Buddhist temple – a renowned temple of Southern Vietnam. 

05:00 PM – onward:

• Board the tour car for the remaining of the return to Ho Chi Minh city.
